Children are a precious gift from God. We value our children and offer age appropriate ministries for them and their parents. We believe we have a responsibility given by God as the church to disciple our children in the ways of God. We have many caring adults who are available to assist in our different Childrens' ministries. If you are a parent with children we want to help you.
Some of the ministries include:

The Seasons of Parenting
Parenting expert Dr. John Rosemond discusses how God designed child-rearing to unfold in seasons and why it is vital for parents to alter their parenting approach to match their child's developmental season.
Motherhood in the Bible: A High Calling
The treatment of women in the Middle East today has left many with the impression that this is the way women were treated in biblical times. But is this true? How does the Bible really portray women, and more specifically, mothers?
Reflections in the Mirror: Healing from Your Mother's Mistakes
Mother's Day brings back fond memories for many, but not everyone has a positive relationship with their mom. Jan Coates shares her own difficult childhood and gives insights on coming to terms with your parents' failings to become a healthy parent to your own children.
Every Mother’s a Working Mother
While motherhood can look easy, the irony is this: while lots of important people in important places conduct important business every day, the truly most important work in the world is going on at home, where the CEO is mommy...
In the "No" on Abstinence Education
Who could argue that, when it comes to sex education, our teenagers should be taught to say “no”? Considering what’s at stake -- and because we love them and want what’s best for them -- nothing short of a clear-cut abstinence message will do. But in the rarified air of a congressional hearing room, it’s another matter...
"Speed Racer" Has Low Impact Despite Spectacular Effects
Directed by the Wachowski brothers—the duo behind the
Matrix
trilogy—
Speed Racer
is another visual wonder, but it’s doubtful its impact on future films will come anywhere close to that of the
Matrix
films.
Better Luck Next Time for “Iron Man”
During a preview screening, squeals upon the first full look at
Iron Man
were a resounding signal as to what the audience had come to see—not Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. No, this man of steel—"titanium alloy" Stark specifies—is the star of the show.
“Made of Honor” Glamorizes Sex without Commitment
Made of Honor
is basically the equivalent of 1997’s
My Best Friend’s Wedding
. But instead of Julia Roberts doing all the scheming, we’ve got Patrick Dempsey as the single guy who doesn’t realize what he’s got until it’s (almost) gone.
Big Laughs but Troubling Morality in “Baby Mama”
Former
Saturday Night Live star and screenwriter (of
Mean Girls
) Tina Fey has perfected the role of a successful working woman who longs for a baby in her role as Liz Lemon on the NBC sitcom
30 Rock.
Now Fey finds similar success with
Baby Mama.
“Expelled” Promotes Intriguing Intelligent Design Dialogue
If those who write off intelligent design as nothing more than conservative, right-wing rhetoric would be willing to put aside their notions, they may be surprised by the provocative dialogue that’s been initiated in
Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed
.
Bullied Victims and Overprotection
Shy children need reasons to be more comfortable in social settings.
How To Earn Respect and Power, Kids
Yesterday I spoke to classes of fourth and fifth graders about writing. My message? Writing well is the best way to get the kind of power and respect everyone wants and needs.
They Are Called Playboys For A Reason
I am confessing a personal regret to plead with any young man who might read this to not get hooked by the “playboy” lure. I did. I regret that. I used to read (?) the magazine on a regular basis when I was single. It is easy to rationalize that Playboy is “classier” than other men’s magazines. That is a tough one to reconcile with Scripture. The text does not read that the wages of sin are calculated on a sliding scale based on the degree of sophistication of the sin. A cable tv show reminded me again of the dangers of this "philosophy" that seems so enticing.
The Power of Ancient People
As our teens enter high school, it's even more important for them to spend time with grandparents -- or with grey-haired, big-hearted substitutes.
TAKING ON THE TYRANTS OF TOLERANCE
As the envelope of tolerance is pushed past the breaking point it is time for clear thinking, true academic freedom loving people to push back. Now is the time for people who believe in the free exchange of ideas and the freedom of expression that is guaranteed in the First Amendment to stand together against the advance of the thought police. An attempt to protect academic freedom in the Florida legislature was turned back last week but similar legislation has been introduced in four other states with my home state of South Carolina soon to become the fifth.

"Just" a Homemaker?
We know that being the homemaker is not all roses and rainbows or June Cleaver doing her housework in a perfectly pleated dress, pearls, make-up and hair. But what we do counts for far more than the "image" that the power suits imply...
The Tempter is TV
Beyond lead in paints, crusaders look for any toxin or danger that might be found in the pajamas, furniture and toys that might be in a child's room. But it seems that many have missed a most obvious danger -- the presence of a television in a child's room.
